Cleland in doubt, reserves called into action
Selwyn Cleland member of the 2006 NZ elite men's four has been withdrawn from the crew due to an injury to his finger which may put him in doubt for the last world cup regatta at the start of July. Crew reserve Matthew Trott has been called over to Europe in the unlikely event that Cleland is unable to compete. The Elite four have performed well on the world stage with a 3rd placing in the first of 2 world cup regattas in Poland and look likely to take another medal at the next regatta if the crew can remain at full strength. Cleland has been going thru intensive rehab to ensure he is physically ready to race in July. Watch this space!
