Great Race Crew Members on World Stage

Great Race crew members in both the men's and women's crews have consistently represented New Zealand internationally and 2006 is no different. George Bridgewater, Nathan Twaddle, Eric Murray and Selwyn Cleland have recently raced in finals at the first of two World Cup regatta's in Europe.

Cleland and Murray members of the NZ Elite four, achieved a third place behind Olympic Champions Great Britain and a fast Slovenian crew giving them great confidence in their build up to the World Championships in England during late August.

At the same regatta, twins, Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell won the women's double sculls race proving that they are still at the top of their game and looking to seal a fourth consecutive World Title in August.

Other rowers competing in Europe at the moment are yet to hit their best form but are looking for improved performances at the second World Cup include former Boathouse women's captain Paula Twining, Nicky Coles and Juliette Haigh (2005 world championsin the women'), Emma Twigg (Former junior world champion), Bess Halley and Darnelle Timbs.
